mom style spinach dal


Ingrediants 1

Toor dal - 1 cup
spinach - 1/2 cup
tomato - 2
turmeric - 1/2 tsp
onion - 1
green chillie - 2


Ingrediants - 2

tamarind water - 1/2 cup
salt
red chilli powder - 1tsp
water - 1/2 cup

Ingrediants -3

oil - 3 tbsp
garlic - 5 cloves little mashed
curry leaves
dry red chili
mustard
urad
hing





1. pressure cook above ingredients 1 for 5 whistles.

2. Now add ingrediants 2 and boil for 10 mins.

3. now do tampering with ingrediants 3.

now close the lid n switch off the stove.

Simple Andhra Mutton Curry




Mutton - 2 lbs
onion - 2 m chopped
green chillie - 4 chopped
tomato - 2
g.g paste - 2 tsp
salt - to taste
cocnut powder - 1/4 cup
coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
whole garam masala and zeera -

spices:
red chilli powder - 1 tsp
coriander powder - 1tsp
cumin powder - 3/4 tsp
turmeric - 1/2 tsp
meat masala / garam masala - 1 tsp



preparation: grind coconut powder, coarinder leaves and tomato to a paste.

Method :

1. heat oil in cooker , add whole garam masala, jeera, onion green chili and fry till onion becomes brown.
2. now add muton and fry it all water is dried up.
3. now add g.g paste n mix well n cook 3 mins.
4. now add all spices. fry for 2mins
5. now add ground paste n fry till 2 mins
6. now add 1 cup of water and salt
7. give pressure according to your cooker mostly 5-7 whistles.
8. when done open the cooker n check the taste
9. cook in sim for 10 mins.

Chicken fry


Chicken fry

Chicken - 1lb

Marination
red chilli powder - 1tsp
corainder powder - 2 tsp
g .g paste - 2tsp
turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
salt - 1tsp


Ingredients

Onion - 1 L ( thinly sliced)
oil
green chili - 2
corriander leves - few
curry leaves - 10
chicken masala - 2 tsp
pata, lavanga, elachi - few


1. Mainate chicken with above marination list, keep aside for 30 mins
2. Heal oil in pan, add dry masalas , curry leaves n onion and fry till light brown color.
3. Add marinated chicken, mix well n keep the lid on and cook till water gets evaporated from chicken.
4. add chicken masala n cook few more mins.
5. Add green chiilies, corriander leaves , mix well n cook on low flame for 10 mins.

heal oil in a wide pan.
add mustard , cumin, urad dal, garlic, curry leaves, green chillies n fry for 2mins
add pearl onion and fry for 5 mins
add tomatoes n cook till till gets mashed well n oil separets from tomatoes.
add red chili powder, salt, turmeric n mix well
Add boiled dal n tamaring water n let it boil for few mins.
Add sambar powder n let it boil for again 10 mins.
garnish with ghee n coriander leaves,

Karela curry ( Kakara kaya curry)

Karela curry ( Kakara kaya curry)

Ingredients: 
karela/ bitter guard frozen/ fresh -  300-350g
Tomatoes - 2 medium
Onion - 1 large sliced, 
green chillies, 
fresh coriander;

 spices-
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
coriander powder - ¾  ts 
salt - ¾ ts 
red chilli powder - ¾ ts 
cumin seeds  - 3/4 tsp

Method :
1. Wash Karela and squeeze all the water away from karela.
2. Fry Karela n keep a side.
3. now in the same oil add onion fry till transparent color,
4. now add tamoto n mix well
5. now add all spices and fried karela n mix well
6. close with lid n cook for 7-8 mins
7. Add green chilli and coriander leaves n again cook for more 5 mins.

Methi Aloo Peas Quinoa Pulav

Methi Aloo Peas Quinoa Pulav


INGREDIENTS:
2 cups of cooked quinoa 
1/2 cup of minced onions 
1/2 cup Potatoes - cube n boiled (cube n Microwave with little water for 5 mins)

2 green chillies
1/4 cup peas (frozen)

1/2 tsp - Red chilli powder
3/4 tsp Curry Powder
3/4 tsp Garam masala
1 of a lime or lemon juice
1 tbsp of butter

2 tbsp of oil
1 tsp of Ginger and garlic  

1 tsp Chana dal
1 tsp urad dal
1/2 each mustard n zeera seeds


INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Heat oil n ghee in a pan until melted
2. Add chana dal , urad dal, mustard and zeera and roast nicely.

3. Add minced onion,  green chillies and 1tsp giner & ginger. Saute until the onion turns pink and the mixture is fragrant
4. Add Methi fry nicely for 5 mins, now add aloo and peas n fry nicely. As your vegetables are already cooked , just cover on low flame until the vegetables are cooked yet hold their shape. 
5. Add Red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala , curry powder and some salt. 

6. Mix well n cook for a 2 mins.
7 . Mix and add the cooked quinao. Mix again
5. Turn off heat, Mix and squeeze some lime or lemon over it before serving.

Tawa Quinoa Pulao

Tawa Quinao Pulao



INGREDIENTS:
2 cups of cooked quinoa 
1/2 cup of minced onions 
1/2 cup crushed tomatoes 

4 green chillies
1 cup of mixed vegetables (I used peas, carrots, capsicum) (cook in Microwave for 5 mins)

1 cup paneer(cubed)
2 tsp of pav bhaji masala 
1/2 of a lime or lemon 
1 tbsp of butter

2 tbsp of oil
1 tsp of Ginger and garlic  


INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Heat oil in a pan until melted
2. Add 1/2 minced onion,  green chillies and 1tsp giner & ginger. Saute until the onion turns pink and the mixture is fragrant
3. Add all the vegetables and Paneer and stir well to combine. As your vegetables are already cooked , just cover on low flame until the vegetables are cooked yet hold their shape. Uncover and saute a min longer until the extra water, if any, is absorbed
4. Add the pav bhaji masala and some salt. Mix and add the cooked quinao. Mix again
5. Turn off heat, add the remaining 1 tbsp butter and some chopped coriander leaves (optional). Mix and squeeze some lime or lemon over it before serving

Green Beans with sesame powder

Green beans - 2 cups ( cook in micro wave with little water for 5-6 mins)
onion - m - chopped
Oil 2 tb
Sesame seeds 1 tb
Cumin seeds 1 ts
Garlic 4 cloves
Desiccated Coconut powder 1 tb
Chilly powder 1 ts
Salt
coarinader powder - 1tsp
Mustard seeds ¼ ts
Curry leaves 3 spr
Turmeric pinch 

method :

Masala :
First roast the sesame seeds, cumin seeds, in a slow flame, in this add garlic, home made coconut powder, chilly powder, salt, mix it well and put into the blender make a coarse powder.

1.Heat oil in a pan 
2.Add mustard seeds and let splutter, 
3. Add curry leaves and onions  fry them well, 
4. Add cooked beans and  turmeric, salt.
5. Add coriander powder, mix it well 
6. Put the lid on and cook for 5 mins till the beans are little fried
7.Add above made masala powder, keep it in low flame for 5 mins.
8.mix this and switch off the flame.

Serve this with chapatti, roti, and rice.

Chicken Cherga



Chicken - 2 lbs

Salt - 1tsp
Red chilli powder - 1tsp
Coarinder powder - 1tsp
Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Curd - 3/4 cup
Garlic - 4 cloves ( grind garlic with little curd n keep a side)


Dry red chillies -  2 broken

Ginger - 1 tsp  ( grated)
Green chillies - 4 ( Slit)
Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup


Method:
1)  Marinate chicken with Garlic, Curd, salt , Red chili powder, coriander powder, garlic paste, turmeric, cumin seeds, garam masala, mix well..keep  aside ( best if kept for atleast 30 mins) 

2) Add oil in a big pan , when oil is hot add red chilies when they sizzle, Add marinated chicken ...kepp mixing it nicely until u see nice brown color...( it will take more than 10 mins) without lid. 

3) Now keep the lid and cook for 5 mins.

4) Add ginger, green chillies n Coriander leaves on top n mix once n closed the lid n reduce the flame....cook on slow flame for 15 mins...

Gobi Peas Masala Rice ( Gobi Peas Masala Quinoa)



Quinoa - 1 cup ( cooked)

Peas - 1/2 cup ( frozen)
Gobi - 2 cups or 1/2 gobi  ( cut in florets)

onion - 1 m chopped
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
green chillie - 2
cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
whole garam masala - cinnamon, cloves, cardamom ( green n brown)
turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Garam Masala powder - 3/4 tsp
salt

Preparation: Take boiled water in big bowl, add turmeric n salt and Add gobi n close the lid n let it sit for 3 mins. drian the water n let it sit aside.

Method :

1. Heat oil in a pan.
2. Add Cumins, whole garam masala, ginger garlic paste fry for 1 min.
3. Add onions and Green chilli , fry till onion turns light brown
4. Add Gobi and fry for a min and close the lid n cook for 4-5 mins ..stir in-between.
5. when Gobi is 3/4 cooked , Add peas n mix well.
6. Add turmeric, Red chilli powder , salt n mix well
7. Add garam masala n mix
8. Add cooked quinao n mix well and cook for 2 mins on slow flames
9. Garnish with lemon juice and Coriander leaves when it cools down.

Egg Masala Rice ( Egg Masala Quinoa Rice)

Quinao - 1 cup ( cooked)
Eggs - 4
onion - 1 m chopped
Toamto - 1 m chopped
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Red Chilli flakes - 1tbsp
green chillie - 2
cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
mustard - 1/2 tsp
red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
turmeric - 1/4 tsp
curry powder - 3/4 tsp
salt


Method :

1. Heat oil in a pan.
2. Add Cumin and Mustard Seeds
3. Add onions and Green chilli , fry till onion turns light brown
4. Add Giner, garlic, paste n fry well till raw smell goes away.
5.  Add tomato and cook until oil ozzes out.
6. Add red chili flakes, Red powder, turmeric, salt n mix well
7. Add curry powder n mix
8. Break eggs in pan and dont mix them. clode the lid and let it cook whole for a while.
9. After you see egg yolk is cooked  now mix and break egg into big chunks.
10. Close the lid and cook for 2 mins 
11. Add cooked quinoa and mix well n switch off the flame.
12. Garnish with Coriander leaves when it cools down.

Spinach Rajma Pulav ( Spinach Rajma Quinoa Pulav)



Quinoa - 1 cup ( cooked)
Rajma - 1/2 cup soaked and boiled with little salt ( 4 whistles)
Spinach - 1 cup
onion - 1 m chopped
Toamto - 1 m chopped
Ginger - 1 inch
garlic - 5 or 6 cloves
green chillie - 2
red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
turmeric - 1/4 tsp
curry powder - 3/4 tsp
salt
dry masala : cinnamon, green cardamom, brown cardamom

Preparation:
1.Grind ginger, garlic and greenchillie together.
2. Rajma - soaked and boiled for 4 whistle. dont throw away the water which u cooked rajma, keep aside and you can add this water instead of plain water in cooking.


Method :

1. Heat oil in a pan.
2. Add cardamom, cinnamon, badi elachi, let it sizzle.
3. Add onions fry till onion turns light brown
4. Add Giner, garlic, green chilli paste n fry well till raw smell goes away.
5. Add red chili powder, turmeric, salt n mix well
6. Add tomato and cook until oil ozzes out.
7. Add curry powder n mix
8. Add cooked Rajma ( no water) n cook for 1 min.
9. Add Spinach n fry for 2 mins and add rajma water which u kept a side.
10. Close the lid and cook for 4-5 mins till water dries out n spinach is cooked nicely.
11. Add cooked quinoa and mix well n switch off the flame.
12. Garnish with lemon juice and Coriander leaves when it cools down.

Easy Egg Curry



Eggs - 8 ( boiled and peeled)
Onion - 2 m (chopped fine)
Tomato - 3 m ( chopped fine)
Red chilli powder - 1tbsp
Coarinder powder - 1tbsp
Cumin powder - 1/4 tsp
Salt
Oil

Tampering :
oil : 2 tbsp
Mustard - 1/4 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Urad dal - 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Dry red chili - 1 or 2
ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp


1. Heat oil in presure cooker, add onions fry for 1 min, add tomato, red chili powder, coarinder powder, cumin powder and salt. Mix well and close the lid.
2. No water is necessary as onion and tomato has lot in them.
3. Give pressure for 4 whistles. and swtich off.
4. See if there is more water in onions and fry them well till oil oozes out and swtich off the stove.

Tampering :

1. Heat oil in a pan add mustard, cumin, urad dal, curry leaves, dry red chili n fry well...now add ginger garlic paste n mix it well.
2. Now add onion gravy and eggs and 1/2 cup water.
3. make the flame in slow and let it boil and swtich off.

Note :

1. I fried my eggs in little oil putting slits in them.
2. you can garnish with Lemon and coarinder leaves.

CHICKEN CURRY






Ingredients

 chicken thighs - 1 Pound
onion - 1 large sliced
coconut powder - 1 Tbs dried 
cumin seeds - 1 Tsp 
ginger garlic paste - 2 Tbs
coriander powder - 1 Tbs 
chili powder - 2 Tsp
turmeric - ¼ Tsp 
garam masala - 1 Tsp 
mint - 1 Tsp , chopped
coriander leaves - 2 Tbs ,chopped
 yogurt - ¼ Cup
Tomato - 1 m ( chopped n grind to a paste with a cup of water)
oil - 6-8 Tbs divided
Salt to taste


Procedure

1. Heat Oil in a pan , add onions cook until they are browned.Transfer it to a blender and blend it into a smooth paste.
2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in same pan and add chicken and fry them till water is dried out and take them in a plate.
3.To the same pan add rest of the oil cumin seeds placed over medium heat.Then add onions paste cook it for 1 min.Then add ginger garlic paste and cook for another minute. next coriander powder, coconut powder, mint  and turmeric cook for another 30 sec.
4.To that add chicken, yogurt, salt, chili powder and garam masala turn down the heat and cook for 15 min(stirring  frequently) .
5. Now add cup of tomato water which you grinder toamato into paste. bring it to boil and cook it for another 10 min(or to desired consistency).
6.Garnish with coriander and serve hot over rice, naan, roti, poori.

Chicken Vada / Garelu

My Friend Bhanu made these chicken Vada ( garelu) on Dec 31st party. It was so yummy everyone were asking her about the recipe. I made minor changes according to my taste.



Chicken Vada / garelu

Chicken Minced - 1 lb
onion - 1/2
Green Chilies - 4
Ginger agrlic paste - 1 tsp
cilantro - 1/2 cup chopped fine
parmesan cheese - 1/4 cup grated
oats / almond powder - 1/4 cup
egg - 1
red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Chanadal powder - 2 tbsp
garam masala - 1 tsp
salt


1. Grind all three green chillies, ginger and cilantro and make a paste

2. Now mix everything togethere in Minced Chicken .
3. Mix well and make like vada and deep fry in oil.

Chicken fried patties for kids




Chicken Minced - 1 lb
onion - 1/2
parmesan cheese - 1/4 cup grated
oats / almond powder - 1/4 cup
egg - 1
red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
salt


Method:

Mix everything nicely and make small balls or patties and deep fry them.

Capsicum Quinoa (Capsicum Rice)




Quinoa – 1 cup cooked
Bell pepper (Capsicum) – 2 big ( cut in small cubes)
Ginger garlic paste – 1tsp
Salt
Turmeric – ¼ tsp
Ghee – 1tbsp


Masala :

Dry red chillies – 4
Urad dal – ½ tbsp.
Mustard – ½ tbsp.
Cumin seeds – ½ tbsp.
Sesame sees – 1 tbsp
Peanuts – 1 tbsp
Coriander – 1tbsp
Curry leaves – 6 leaves

Heat the pan roast everything without oil and make a fine powder.


Rice preparation:

1.    Heat ghee in a pan
2.    Add bell pepper and fry nicely
3.    Add salt n mix well
4.    Add Ginger Garlic paste and turmeric n mix well.
5.    Add masala powder n mix well for 2 mins
6.    Add Quinoa and mix well

7.    Garnish with coriander leaves n lemon juice

Ava petina Quinoa pulihara ( Mustard paste Lemon Quinao)







Quinoa - 1 cup ( cook with 2 cups of water in rice cooker)
Onion - 1/2 small chopped
Green chilli - 2 chopped
Curry leaves - 1 spring
ginger - 1/2 inch ( chopped fine)
Mustard seeds - 1 tbsp ( make a paste with little water)
Chana Dal - 1tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
Cashews - 5-10 (as per your wish)
Salt - as per taste
Lemon juice - 1lemon juice
Caoriander leaves - 1 tbsp


Method:

1. Heat oil in a pan.
2. Add chana dal and urad, let it become light brown.
3. Add cashews,  curry leaves fry for 1 min.
4. Add onions n green chilli and ginger pieces, fry till onion turns light brown
5. Add turmeric and salt
6. Add cooked quinoa and mix well n switch off the flame.
7. Add mustard paste and mix
8. lemon juice. mix well and Garnish with Coriander leaves.



Quinoa Pulao with green beans with Surti papdi lilva beans (chikudukaya ginjalu)





Quinoa - 1 cup ( cook with 2 cups of water in rice cooker)
Onion - 1 small chopped
Green chilli - 2 chopped
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1tsp
Tomato - 1 (chopped)
Curry leaves - 1 spring
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Curry Powder - 1tsp
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Green Beans - 1/4 cup ( frozen) ( add little water and Microwave for 5 mins)
surti papdi lilva beans - 1/2 cup (( add little water and Microwave for 8-10 mins))
Salt - as per taste

garnish:
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
Caoriander leaves - 1 tbsp

Method:

1. Heat oil in a pan.
2. Add cumin seeds, let it sizzle.
3. Add onions n green chilli, fry till onion turns light brown
4. Add ginger garlic paste and mix well till raw smell goes away
5. Add green beans n lilv a beans and give a good stir , it does not need cooking as we already cooked in MW.
6. Add curry powder, red chilli powder and salt n mix and close the lid, cook in slow flame for 5 mins.
7. Add Tomato and mix well and cook till oil oozes out
8. Add cooked quinoa and mix well n switch off the flame.
9. Garnish with lemon juice and Coriander leaves.

Palak Quinoa Pulao





Quinoa - 1 cup ( cook with 2 cups of water in rice cooker)
Onion - 1 small chopped
Spinach / Palak - 1/2 cup or 1 cup
Mint - 7 to 8 leaves chopped
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp chopped
Curry leaves - 1 spring
Green chilli - 2 chopped
Redchilli garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Sesame seeds - 1tbsp
Dry red chillies - 3
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Chana Dal - 1tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Salt - as per taste
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp

Preparation:

1. Roast sesame seeds and 2 dry Red chilli n make a paste.

Method :

1. Heat oil in a Pan
2. Add Chana dal, Urad dal, Mustard, cumin seeds and fry them
3. Add Onion and green chillies n fry till onions r light brown coclor.
4. Add Chilli garlic paste and mix well.
5. Add Spinach, mint, caorinder leaves and curry leaves n let it cook till for 5-6 mins with closed lid.
6. Add sesame seed powder and salt mx well and close the lid for more 5 mins.
7. Add quinao and mix well
8. Squeze lemon for extra zing.

Brinjal, tomato and bottle gaurd pachadi (chutney).

My mother in law is very creative when it comes to cooking. Today morning she was going through fridge and she found nothing to cook but only 2 brinjal and 1/2 bottle gaurd. so she decided to make pachadi ( chutney) and my 4yr old daughter ate everything with this yummy pachadi :).



Brinjal - 2 small - chopped
Tomato - 2 - chopped
Bottle gaurd - 1/2 cup deseeded
Green chilli - 4 0r 5 - chopped
Garlic cloves - 2 or 3 ( small)
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Tamarind - 1/2 lemon size soaked in little water
Salt - as needed.

Tampering :
Mustard seeds- 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds- 1/4 tap
Dry red chillie - 2 broken
curry leaves - 5 or 6
Hing - apinch
oil - 2 tbsp

Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan
2. Add Cumin seeds, Garlic, Green chili and Bottle guard and fry nicely . let bottle guard become soft.
3. Add brinjal and cook till soft
4. Add tomato and cook till soft
5. Add tamarind n fry for 1 min
6. Now grind everything with salt

Now do tampering with tamepring ingredients.

Spice Indian Chicken Fried Qunioa (Chicken Fried rice type)

Quinoa - 1 cup ( cook with 2 cups of water in rice cooker)
Chicken - 1 cup ( chopped in cube peices)
Eggs - 2
Mixed Vegetables - 1 cup ( frozen) ( add little water and Microwave for 5 mins)
Onion - 1 small chopped
Green chilli - 2 chopped
Garlic - 5 cloves finely chopped
Chicken noodles masala powder - 1 tsp ( the masla packets you get in noddles) ( or add pepper)
Salt - as per taste
Soya sauce



Preparation:
1. Fry Chicken peieces with pepper and salt and keep aside
2. Make an omellete with egss with pepper and salt and keep aside
3. Cook Mixed vegetables with 2 or 3 tbsp of water in Microwave for 5 mins.

Method:

1. Heat oil in a pan.
2. Add garlic, let it sizzle.
3. Add onions n green chilli, fry till onion turns light brown
4. Add mixed vegetables and give a good stir for 1 min , it does not need cooking as we already cooked in MW.
5. Add Soya Sauce  and chicken masala powder n mix
6. Add cooked quinoa, chicken and mix well.
7. Add omellete pieces.
8. check the salt and saya sauce if u need more.

Imp Notes:

* Soya sauce and chicken masala have lot of salt, please be careful adding salt.
* If you dont have Chicken masala , you can add peeper and salt or use curry powder.

Lemon Quinoa (Lemon Rice type)



Quinoa - 1 cup ( cook with 2 cups of water in rice cooker)
Onion - 1/2 small chopped
Green chilli - 2 chopped
Curry leaves - 1 spring
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Chana Dal - 1tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Dry Red Chillie - 2
Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
Cashews - 5-10 (as per your wish)
Salt - as per taste
Lemon juice - 1lemon juice
Caoriander leaves - 1 tbsp


Method:

1. Heat oil in a pan.
2. Add mustard ,cumin seeds, let it sizzle.
3. Add chana dal and urad, let it become light brown.
4. Add cashews, dry red chilli, curry leaves fry for 1 min.
5. Add onions n green chilli, turmeric ,fry till onion turns light brown
6. Add cooked quinoa and mix well n switch off the flame.
7. Add lemon juice and Salt . mix well
8. Garnish with Coriander leaves.

Tomato Qunioa Pulav with Sambar powder



Quinoa - 1 cup ( cook with 2 cups of water in rice cooker)
Onion - 1 small chopped
Green chilli - 2 chopped
Tomato - 1 M - chopped
Curry leaves - 1 spring
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Chana Dal - 1tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Sambar Powder / Curry Powder - 1tsp
Salt - as per taste
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
Caoriander leaves - 1 tbsp


Method:

1. Heat oil in a pan.
2. Add mustard ,cumin seeds, let it sizzle.
3. Add Chana Dal and Urad, let it become light brown.
4. Add onions n green chilli and curry leaves, fry till onion turns light brown
5. Add Tomato and cook till oil separates from tomato.
6. Add Sambar powder / Curry powder and salt n mix , cook in slow flame for 5 mins.
7. Add cooked quinoa and mix well n switch off the flame.
8. Garnish with lemon juice and Coriander leaves.





Spicy Quinoa Vegetable with curry powder ( Vegetable rice type)



Quinoa - 1 cup ( cook with 2 cups of water in rice cooker)
Onion - 1 small chopped
Green chilli - 2 chopped
Curry leaves - 1 spring
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Curry Powder - 1tsp
Mixed Vegetables - 1 cup ( frozen) ( add little water and Microwave for 5 mins)
Salt - as per taste
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
Caoriander leaves - 1 tbsp


Method:

1. Heat oil in a pan.
2. Add cumin seeds, let it sizzle.
3. Add onions n green chilli, fry till onion turns light brown
4. Add mixed vegetables and give a good stir , it does not need cooking as we already cooked in MW.
5. Add curry powder and salt n mix and close the lid, cook in slow flame for 5 mins.
6. Add cooked quinoa and mix well n switch off the flame.
7. Garnish with lemon juice and Coriander leaves.
